I am suddenly feeling this pinch of nostalgia and have decided to pen down some stuffs. I have actually been a regular visitor of this blog despite its stagnant nature. The last update was about two years ago?
I trust that everyone is doing well. This particular post is gonna be a cheesy one, so do bear with me.
I love reminiscing about the past especially the time we had at Taylor's. It was great. It would be great to be able to turn back time. But of course, it would be impossible. Ironically, the fact that it's impossible is what makes the past worth remembering and appreciated.
We agreed to make a good old PM3 gathering in 2015. To be honest, I don't see how that's possible given the fact that we are actually literally around the world. We'll probably be further dispersed in the future as quite a number of you will be departing to the UK.
I have decided to list down some reasons why the time at Taylor's is the best of your life (Yes, it's safe to assume).
1) Only one thing to worry
We only needed to worry about the A level examination albeit the fact that it had two parts. Test scores in between didn't count. Yeah, no doubt some of us may have other commitments, but yeah, the exam was the only thing to worry about in my opinion.
2) No one ate lunch alone (Unless he or she chooses to do so)
The good old bonding time. Two major groups with some minor ones as far as I can remember. We probably tried every store that was available along the streets, figuratively speaking. Of course, we had our favourites as well. Salmon steak, anyone?
3) The teachers knew us very well
We had a pretty close relationship with our teachers. I don't think you'll able to find this sort of environment anymore in the near future. Medical students, maybe, I don't know. But definitely not as a commerce student. And of course, the crazy thing was that, the teachers knew everything.
4) Birthday celebrations
About 20 hours of extra free time throughout the year. How cool is that? Friends made the effort to go the extra mile to make you happy. How touching..
5) The boy-girl teasing
We were masters at pairing up people. Too bad there weren't enough boys to go around. But it's pleasing to know that two of them actually ended up being together. Well done guys, well girls actually.
6) World Math Day
We started off disinterested. But it turned out to be one of the most exciting events of the year 2009. First place in Taylor's. Great job. I hope you people are still keeping your gold or silver certificates.
7) Class trip
Well er.. we wrote a book on it. So I guess it's worth remembering.
Of course, there are many other reasons which I am not listing such as the thinking skills subject. Haha.
Ah, the good old days.
Why must they end?
