Class Book Review...
It is 1.20AM. My head is throbbing and my body is numb due to a very long but short class outing. LONG because I kick-started the day at 6.45am and arrived home at 11pm. SHORT because of how time flies when one is occupied with fun and good company.
I was so eager to flip through the pages of the much awaited class book. Curiosity overpowered fatigue. As the book was labeled “controversial, sensitive and melodramatic” and not to forget written by one of my most favorite author ‘Edwin Siew’, I decided to read it at once. As my eyes set on the first page, I was instantly hooked and naturally kept on reading.
In just a few pages, smiles and laughter filled the atmosphere. Memories of the class trip started trickling one chapter at a time. I have a few comments that are BURNING to be released before I could fully retire to bed.
WARNING: SPOILER AHEAD. DON'T PROCEED IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT YET.
****************************************************************************************************************
Firstly, it was rather hilarious how the Lotso girls were being portrayed as ‘Bimbo-tic Antagonists’ (which were mostly exaggerated) and the Woodies figuratively as the “female versions” of the Buzz boys.
Secondly, I am fascinated with the level of sensitivity guys have when they were supposed to be 'emotionless' (or so I thought). Sensing tension and anger when the Lotsonians were admirably laughing at the failed horror prank. Feeling awkwardness and coldness when the Lotsonians thought they were just playing “The Dumb Game” the following morning-which probably explained the awkward silence.
This has taught me an important lesson; there are many ways of perceiving things and it is a matter of personal choice how one decides to see them. Similarly, the half cup full and the half cup empty rule.
Thirdly, I have charming, beautiful, sparkly eyes and the author was just jealous. So, he associated them with vengeance.
Fourthly, as a matter of fact some of the Woodies do play the piano but were just too humble. No hard feelings about the hotel incident, it’s totally understandable.
Next, words can never describe how much the girls wanted to take pictures with the boys. As most of the Buzz boys were exuding the “I don’t want to take pictures with you.” aura, we reclined. A small tip, girls would be most flattered if boys would just put aside their ultra-egos and just ask us for a simple picture taken together.
Lastly, It's the DOLL'S FAULT. Never Mess with Possessed Dolls.
Surprisingly, the book wasn’t as controversial as I thought (as a matter a fact, not at all) but an eye opener. Many question marks which I had were answered; especially from the Buzz boys’ view of things.
With that, I would like to thank the author and also his evil editor for having this story immortalized. At least now, our great grandchildren will know the Epic(sorry Sonia, would you lend me your word for now?) Story of PM3; unless the silver fish has it for dinner first..
I just deeply regret that time passes too fast and one week was just not enough. True, things will never be the same again. But I hope for the better and this would just be a topic to laugh about in our next reunion five years down the road...
I deeply apologize if I ever did offend anyone with my words or by blogging about this. After all, that's what blogs are for. I felt the need of expressing how I felt specifically how moved I was til the very last page.
I may be 'The Self Proclaimed Eyes and Ears of PM3' but definitely not the 'Voice of PM3.' It's just my perspective.
What about yours?
PS This book should be nominated for an award...

class trip-day3
hey ppl!!! i'm back!..sorry for the super long delay..well, i.....erm...... was just too lazy to blog
so, it was sunday morning and pin jin decided to bring us to this morning market situated just a few streets away from our lodging..according to her, the market is only open on sundays....well, i have to say, this market is one of the most interesting markets i've been to....to begin with, it's super long and it has many branches from the main street...next, there are many varieties of nice stuffs available..for instance, there are handicrafts, ' I LOVE KOTA KINABALU' t-shirts, beach wears, handbags, food, and puppies!!..prices are all negotiable!!...the market is just so packed with tourists to the point that i find walking there a difficulty...i was most of the time being squeezed and the weather didn't at all help me feel better...so my advice is to wear a cap or hat when u wanna visit the market...rmb umbrellas are a BIG NONO!!! after satisfied with our shopping in the market, we walked to the jetty nearby for a boat ride to pulau manukan..i remember a random man approached pin jin as soon as we entered the jetty area and sort of talked her into taking his boat...he came up with lots of good bargains like cheaper tickets and shorter travelling time...it was scary k!! fortunately, pin jin was smart and brave enough to brush him off and we bought our tickets from the counter though they were more expensive..well, safety's first...so do not agree to unauthorised body(the man).
we took 2 speed boats to the island and the journey was about 15 minutes.. well, i really can't think of a better word to describe the ride other than the word 'bumpy'...funny as it may sound but it really felt like we were travelling on road with lots of humps...kelly and i purposely just allow our heads to move freely back and forth to show the others how bumpy we thought the ride was...hahah..anyways, along the way, i still managed to enjoy the nice view of the sea and some other small islands...
at one end of the jetty, we saw familes so called 'interacting' with the fishes..and if you go further down, you can see people snorkelling..
so then we walked from the jetty to the island....
along the way, we see this...
and we continued walking till find we found a suitable spot to put our stuffs..nice walkway rite?? i love the shady trees that flanked the walkway...
as usual la...we have sadun itching for a football..he just couldn't bear leaving the ball alone....mind you sadun...we were still busy hunting for a spot! hahaha
and finally.....
so after settling down, some of us signed up for some water sports... the guys went for all the water sports except one which they claimed to be the most extreme due to time constraint.. christine, nicole , yasmin and a few other went first for a sport if i'm not mistaken called "paragliding"? it's basically gliding on air to have a bird's eye view of the island...what was interesting was that, it was agreed that yasmin and shin yi (i think) to accompany christine and nicole as viewers for the paragliding...so it was surprising when we saw yas and shin yi came back drenched ....we asked what happenned and this was what they told us :
attack!!!!
attack somemore!!!
it was beginning to drizzle when we took the speedboat back to the jetty...and for the first time ever i could say that rain drops were painful...we had to crouch and hide our faces from being hit by the raindrops...haha..after reaching the jetty, we walked all the way back to our lodgings and got ourselves prepared for SEAFOOD DINNER!
best friends forever!!!!
so after dinner we had a few plans....some wanted movies, some wanted to go to the bar, while the guys wanted to rush back to watch world cup....at the end, it was sonia, christine and sadun who went to the bar while the rest went back to our lodgings..it was almost 12 am when the three of them came back...all of us were tired, so we didn't talk much and before i knew, i was already asleep...

class trip-day2
well, it's the 2nd day..the real beginning of the sabah tour...i guess i was too excited cause i was first to wake up and be ready...hahaha.. this is the shot i took from the window next to my bunk...was too bored at that time cause everyone else was still sleeping...the one thing i realised bout sabah is that there's hardly any traffic!!..how many cars you've seen in this pic?? just a cab and a bus right?!! and that's about all! gosh..that's never gonna happen in west malaysia...and sonia here's my word to you...IT'S EPIC!!! hahahhahah...
so after that shot i went down to the lounge to see if i could get more shots to prove my point...and tada!!! what did i say?? see...there's only one car in the roundabout!!! what a town!
this is the shop houses opposite to where we were staying..took this pic from the balcony...and again, no cars on the road!xD
this is the nearest char chang teng, the guys usually have their breakfast here..i can totally understand why when the other option is gardenia bread and jam...hahaha
so pin jin arrived at bout 9.30am with a bus and we all hopped into it..our first destination for the day was the sabah museum...yippee!!! along the way i was anticipating for a traffic jam to come about..and guess what...it was already nearing 10am and the traffic was smooth!!! gosh!
when we arrived at the museum, the first thing that greeted us was a row of some branded cars..wow!i'm sure you can all spot a rolls royce by now ...:)
at bout 5pm, we departed from the mall and adjourned to a beach...pin jin wanted us to catch the sunset..so we sort of hurried to the beach...and it was a very beautiful and blissful place...the spacious view of the sea made me feel happy and relaxed..i just love it there...and as usual, when you come to such a scenic place, photo session is never a miss..so here are some of the pics we took..
.
so that was our last shot and we went to the hawker stalls nearby for dinner..nothing much..typical hawker food..
hui lu syok sendiri.........
