I had dinner with Kelsey and Sonia yesterday at one of the restaurants along Lygon Street. Now, Lygon street is a place in Melbourne where there is a variety of Italian restaurants and a few ice-cream shops. It is basically an Italian street.
We realized that we have known each other for 5 years. It all started in January 2009 and yes, we are growing old.
Girls, many of you are 23 years old. Sonia, the previous 16 year old girl just turned 21.
Surprisingly, there were events going on in 2013 involving PM3 students in one way or another. As such, I will try to run a brief update on what some of us did.
January 2013
Kelsey had a birthday party where every PM3 member was invited to celebrate her 21st. Being 21 years old is an important event. Apparently, it means that you are officially regarded by your family members as an adult. Kelsey's birthday cake had the shape of a key.
In addition, many of us cheered when Juety placed his arm around Kelsey for a photo shoot. It was done very gracefully, a true gesture expected of a guy who once led the group of guys in PM3. As for the attendance, about half the class went.
May 2013
It was Wei Ling's turn to have a birthday party and again, everyone was invited. Unlike Kelsey's, I was not there because I was still in Melbourne. In fact, it was near the examination period.
Judging from the photos, everyone must have had a lot of fun. Wei Ling wore a white dress and a lot of guys were attracted to her (my assumption). For the three major events that happened in 2013, Paul, Sadun and Hui Lu seemed to have attended them all. Great job, guys.
By the way, the thing is, Wei Ling may be 22 years old, but..
September 2013
Not really an event but rather, a situation. Albert, Hui Lu and Wei Ling went to the UK to further their medical studies after having a gap for about 9 months.
- Albert (Glasgow)
- Hui Lu (Dundee)
- Wei Ling (Edinburgh)
Each of them seems to be doing well currently. Unlike the other two, Hui Lu didn't have any PM3 member in the place that she is currently studying in. But don't worry, there is quite a number of IMU students there.
December 2013
The highlight of year 2013 was of course Mr Lai's wedding dinner, our beloved Math teacher. This happened in December. If I am not mistaken, he registered early in the year, probably in February or March. and only decided to have the Chinese dinner in December.
Mr Lai actually invited the whole PM3 class to the wedding but unfortunately only a few could make it. I was not there as well which was really sad. 5 of us went. They were Sadun, Paul, Kelsey, Hui Lu and Carmen.
From the sources which I have received, the wedding was a huge success and both Mr and Mrs Lai gave very touching speeches. I and I believe many of you are confident that Mr Lai will be a very good husband and father (in the future).
Final note
I heard that there is something big being planned for the year 2014. We all will be looking forward to it.
