First of all, I would like to wish Kim Jae Jung, a Happy 19th Burfday! Also to Nicole Soh a Happy Early Birthday. Such a lovely "birthday couple". awww... and they're both in pink too! Thus the title of this post...
So anyways, we had a surprise party during Ms. Rathi's period and it was great fun! First of all, we planned it just the day before and even stayed back for a while after school hours discussing about the superb plans! And then later at night, we stalked each other on MSN planning on the games and who's gona get the cakes, balloons, tali rafia, and stuff. Haha.
It was such a breeze and everything went according to plan. The plan is simple really. The main target of our mission is to shoo Kim and Nicole out of the class with the excuse of Ms. Rathi needing to see them urgently. Then, while they were busy scurrying away, we would then light up the candles, arrange the tables and chairs then blow the balloons, off the lights, get ready, once they open the door BAM! pop the balloons, sing a birthday song in Korean then English!!
The period before Chem was Biology and I have to applaud Ms Rathi and Maxter for their part. Suddenly during Bio class, Maxter raised up his hands and said,
**************************************************************************************
Maxter: Kim, Nicole and Christine are to go to the yellow staffroom to see her at the end of this period..
Ms Ko: Ok, did you hear that? You can see her after our class.
Kelsey and I: What about Sadun?
Maxter: I don't know.
Kelsey and I looked at each other with question marks on our forehead. (Sadun and Christine are supposed to be the stallers, you see..)
Kim(a bit blurr asking Sadun): But, what for???
*******************************************************************************************
I swear that Kelsey and I were smiling our hearts out amazed by what just happened. It just seemed so smooth and so real.
So when the period was over, Sadun volunteered to accompany Kim to see Ms. Rathi; Nicole, Christine and gang also left the classroom, THEN all of the remaining PM3 sprang into action!

Nyamuk Ong came back with the cake, Cacing Liew kept watch of the perimeters, while the others huff and puffed the balloons causing a few explosions.
Can you read what's written on the cake? It says "Happy Birthday to the Birthday Couple Kim & Lalat XD
Then we lighted the candles and waited for them to come back to class...
...made some noise with party crackers and balloons. Kim was stunned like that for several moments while we sang out the birthday song in korean...
and we made them sit opposite each other... (don't they look like such a cute couple?)
and they blew out the candles with straws...
This is what happens to the candles when you sing 3 birthday songs...
1)Pop the balloons game. Form in a groups of two, tie a balloon around your ankles and your partner's ankles with a rafia string. (Ms Rathi insisted it to be one guy and one girl coz it is fun). Ms. Rathi with her cool sun glasses took the role as a match maker, pairing every single guys to girls of her choice!
Alritey let's fast forward and tell you brief updates on what happened after the cake cutting ceremony:
1)Pop the balloons game. Form in a groups of two, tie a balloon around your ankles and your partner's ankles with a rafia string. (Ms Rathi insisted it to be one guy and one girl coz it is fun). Ms. Rathi with her cool sun glasses took the role as a match maker, pairing every single guys to girls of her choice!
LOL..The guys and girls were a little shy shy at first but then after much force, they started to budge. We paired the birthday couple together of course! The last couple standing was Chee Yew and Carmen! From what I observe, everybody was practically killing each other's balloon while this smart ppl just stood at the back corner of the class.. Hahahaha..
2)Dance and freeze. Same thing also. Must be girl and guy. While the music is rolling, you dance and when it stops FREEZE! hahaha..
Perfect time to freeze...
3)Group, group, group! The best part was when Kim and Nicole danced romantically. Pweet! Ms Rathi was so hyper that she jumped around with joy.
Here are some random pics...
and as they always say... we save the best for last!
To kim and nicole, we're glad you had a great time. Thanks for being such good sports!
Yours truly,
ghl & wj
